Community Hubs
Community hubs build social cohesion in Australia. They are welcoming places where families from diverse backgrounds, particularly mothers with pre-school children, come to connect, share and learn.
At the six-month mark of 2024, schools welcomed 9,097 families into their hubs. We look back on some of the stories of impact and how the hubs helped communities connect, share, and learn.
Community hubs are embedded in primary schools and connect families from diverse cultural backgrounds with the wider community. They connect women and their young children with each other and their school through a variety of activities and with organisations that can provide health, education and settlement support.
